"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters."

This is how Psalm 23 begins.. It may be the most admired Psalm and the most admired beginning. But besides being the most popular, it's not suitable for everyone.

Who is it suitable for? It is suitable for those who accept the Lord as their shepherd. Today, shepherding is seen as a very simple and inadequate line of work. But this is not so. You cannot entrust sheep to everyone.

To put it simply, it has to be reliable for once. You ask why? On average, if we consider a sheep for 2 coins, you will be entrusting a fortune of 200 coins for 100 sheep. Definitely needs to be someone reliable.

If we think about it a little more, it definitely has to be a reckless person. Because it is necessary to protect the herd against many dangers.

He must be a knowledgeable person so that he is aware of the condition of his sheep.

My opinion about the shepherd is not my own, only Prof. You can easily access Hayrettin Ekiz's 2017 "MEATER AND RANGE MANAGEMENT" presentation via the internet. We will still leave a link for those who can't reach it. They state themselves
1- To ensure the safety of grazing animals,
2. To closely monitor the health status of animals,

Now let's think again, “The LORD is my shepherd, I will not lack.” How do we entrust ourselves to someone? However, as we said at the beginning of the subject, this verse is for everyone, but it is not suitable for everyone.

It is true that the good shepherd dies for all, and salvation by death is sufficient for all. But it only applies to those who accept it.

It's all about the expression "mine" in our personal use, the Lord is my shepherd, this verse is for those who accept. With this acceptance, our lives are saved. With this acceptance, we lie on the shores of calm waters.
Thank you to the GOOD Shepherd who saved us from evil and gave his life to protect us.
